Sergeant T. R. Gordon

The background of this North Irish Horseman is not known at present, but he may have been the Thomas Robert Gordon born on 11 January 1887 at Graddum, Crosserlough, County Cavan, the third or fourth of five children of farmer Thomas Gordon and his wife Eliza (nee Magovern).

Gordon enlisted in the North Irish Horse between 14 April and 16 June 1909 (No.358).

He was mobilised at the beginning of the war, but was found to be medically unfit for war service. He was discharged on 11 August 1914.
